What is java-irremote?

java-irrmote is a set of Java bindings for accessing infrared remote controls.

Currently, the LIRC IR system is supported.

Features

* Enumerates all defined Infrared button events.

* Attach action callbacks to Infrared events.

* Includes Java Swing component for editing event bindings.

Test/Example Programs

A sample Swing application with the event binding editor and callback procs is provided.

Requirements

Java 1.3 or better.

LIRC (available here).

This project is hosted at Sourceforge. You can go to the project pages to access cvs, submit bugs, etc.

Roadmap

Current plans:

Release 0.1 - This will be the first release, real soon now! It's intended to support the 0.1 release of Tuneology.

Release 0.2 - Support for Irman on Windows.
